Jesse Enriquez is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Education Studies at UC San Diego. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Chico and became the first college graduate in his family. He went on to complete his master’s degree in Postsecondary Educational Leadership from San Diego State University. Prior to joining the Education Studies department, Jesse worked with at Reality Changers and other community-based organizations focused on increasing college access for historically underrepresented students. More recently, he worked as a Strategic Initiatives Officer in the Office of Admissions at UC San Diego. His research interests include issues of equity and access for underrepresented students in the education pipeline with a focus on men of color, community college, and Latina/os/x students.
